Art Deco 18K. Solid Gold Lapis Lazuli Rosary in Open Work Box.

This is a 5 decade Catholic Rosary of French origin dating from the Art Deco Period in the 20th Century.

It is made of 18 Carat solid gold chain, center and cross with Lapis beads.

Beads are top quality plain round Lapis Lazuli beads . French Gold stamps prove this on the center and cross and the chain has been tested.

This is a very rare item as it is was unusual to see such items in solid 18 Carat Gold.

It is presented in a rare box best described in the pictures. The box is made of bone, had crafted in a very intricate open work.

The Rosary condition is excellent and pristine.

The style from the designs on the cross and center clearly indicate a late Art Deco style.

It is especially charming and the beautiful Lapis Lazuli beads suit perfectly the gold chain, center and cross.

Beads have 5 mm diameter for Aves and 7 mm mm for the Paters.
The cross is 35 x 18 mm and the total length of the rosary is approx. 40 centimeters. It will not go over the head to be worn.
The weight of the rosary is 18.7 grams .
The weight of the box is 34 grams.
