Vintage Medal Mater Dolorosa Hand Painted Miniature in Sterling Filigree Frame w Chain
Presented here is an early 20th Century medal of the Virgin Mary portrait as Mother of Sorrows . It is a hand painted Miniature on porcelain, then Kiln fired and inserted in a filigree Sterling Silver frame.
The obverse is plain.
The hand work is very fine and shows a typical sorrowful Mary.
The medal is in pristine condition and it is sold together WITH the Sterling Silver chain in the picture. The chain is of a more recent date.
It is a very fine and nice item to wear.
Size of the medal is 32 x 17 mm or 1.28 x 0.7 in. ( excluding bail)
