1950's Vintage St Valentine Gold Plated Large Medal w Chain - Rare

Presented here is a rarely seen modernistic representation of St Valentine in a large gold plated medal, with its Gold plated chain.

The medal dates from the 1950's and has a date on its reverse with two initials : S and M - date : 14 January 1955.

It is made in France as the writing on the medal is in French.

It has a great design with St Valentine holding a couple of lovers and is an extremely pleasant and attractive pendant. It is quite rare to find large medals of St. Valentine of this size, type and quality.

The chain is included with the pendant. The chain is gold plated also terminated with a lobster clasp.

Dimensions of the medal are : 40 mm dia ( 1.6 in.)
Weight of the medal alone is 28 grams
The chain is 50 cm (20 in.) long and 9.30 grams in weight.

The chain is such that the length may be regulated at will and may be worn long or short.
