Unique Vintage 18 K Gold Plique-à-Jour Enamel St Christopher Pendant Medal w Chain XXXR

Presented here is an Extremely rare item - In fact the ONLY one on the internet - of a 18 K Solid Gold pendant of St Christopher, with rare and unusual features as follows :

a) It has a diameter of 26 mm mm - without bail - and is round

b) Its weight is a heavy 5.3 grams

c) It is made using the “Plique-à-jour” technique : Plique-à-jour (French for "letting in daylight") is a vitreous enameling technique where the enamel is applied in cells, similar to cloisonné, but with no backing in the final product, so light can shine through the transparent or translucent enamel.

d) The pendant is high relief and made in France. It represents St Christopher holding Child Jesus holding a globe crossing the river. This is an extremely rare item because it is the only known 18K Gold Plique-à-jour medal of St Christopher.

e) It has been tested for 18K Gold.

f) Writing on the medal is : Regarde St Christophe puis va-t-en rassuré - meaning : Look at St Christopher then go reassured

The medal is in Pristine condition and the enamel is perfect.
