XIXth Century Madonna & Child Hand Painted Miniature in Vermeil Filigree Frame w chain

Presented here is a very exceptional item : A hand painted miniature of the late 19th Century representing the Madonna with Child inserted in a filigree sterling silver frame, with accompanying vermeil chain of later days..

The work is very finely executed with precision and neatness with colors till very vivid. The scene is very clear and vivid with colors, Mary with Jesus sitting on her lap and offering him with black grapes. The frame in filigree Vermeil ( Gold plated sterling silver) is extremely fine, very well and neatly made, a real beauty and seldom seen rectangular shape.

The miniature and frame dates from the late part of the 19th century.

It is in pristine condition.

The Vermei chain is included with the pendant. It is dating very probably from the later second half of the 20th century.
