1920's Two sided Medal Mary Lady of Fatima Hand Painted Miniature in Silver & Gold Frame - Rare

Presented here is a rare porcelain medal of our Lady of Fatima, dated 1920 - 1930. It is a hand painted miniature on porcelain, then Kiln fired and inserted in a beautiful Sterling silver mixed with 18k gold frame, with rhinestones.

Origin of the miniature is very probably Portugal. It is not sure where the frame was made. It is not hallmarked but tested.

The medal is two sided : on the obverse Mary of the Fatima Apparition to the 3 shepherd children and on the reverse : "Na. Sa. Do Rosario da Fatima" meaning " Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima".

The medal is in pristine condition and it is sold WITH the chain in the picture. The chain is not solid gold but Vermeil - Gold plated Sterling Silver.

The medal may also be worn as a brooch as may be seen from the pictures of the reverse.

It is a very fine and nice item to wear.

Dimensions of the medal are : 40 x 30 mm or 1.6 x 1.2 in. ( excluding bail)

Length of the chain is 45 cm - 18 in.

Weight of the framed medal alone is 7 grams, the chain is 2.2 grams-
