Vintage Gold Plated Plique-à-Jour V. Large Raphael Angel Putto Pendant Signed Augis w Vermeil Chain

Presented here is a very remarkable Gold plated Very Large pendant medal of Raphael's Angel ( Putto) , probably dating from the 1930's with rare and unique features as follows :

a) It has a diameter of 45 mm ( without bail ) which is quite a large size for a round medal. Please look at picture when held in hand.

b) Its net weight without chain is a heavy 33 grams. It is in Pristine condition.

c) it is sold together with the 50 cm - 20 in. special chain which is entirely ( clasp included) in Vermeil - 24k Gold electroplated sterling silver. Net weight 5.20 grams

d) It is made using the “Plique-à-jour” technique : Plique-à-jour (French for "letting in daylight") is a vitreous enameling technique where the enamel is applied in cells, similar to cloisonné, but with no backing in the final product, so light can shine through the transparent or translucent enamel.

e) The pendant is high relief and made in France by A Augis, as it is signed.
