Vintage Medal Mary and Child Hand Painted Miniature in Gold plated Frame w chain- V.Rare

Presented here is a very rare porcelain medal of Lady Mary and Child Jesus , with a remarkable shape. It is a hand painted miniature on porcelain, then Kiln fired and inserted in a gold plated frame.

It is estimated that the medal dates from the 1930 t0 1940 decade.

Origin of the miniature is very probably Spain. It is not sure where the frame was made. It is hallmarked and tested for gold plate.

The medal is in pristine condition and it is sold WITH the chain in the picture. The chain is also Gold plated . The chain is not of the same period but much newer.

It is a very fine and nice item to wear. With its very special shape it is quite unique.

Dimensions of the medal are : 38 x 25 mm or 1.52 x 1 in. ( excluding bail)

Weight of the framed medal and chain is 7.7 grams and the chain is 52 cm long. ( 21 in.)
