1877 First Communion Souvenir Mother of Pearl and Sterling Silver, French, Large Cross - Crucifix

This Plain and large cross measurements without the ring are 90 x 50 mm or 3.6 x 2 inches.

Measurements may be best visualized in the photo where the cross is held in hand. It is a large item that is worn as pectoral cross, or which may be hung on the wall.

This cross dates from the 1877 and is made in France. As may be seen on the photo there is inscription on the reverse which is :

"" Marie Sauvan " --- this is the name of the owner
"" Souvenir de 1re Communion 24 Mai 1877"" -- Souvenir of first Communion May 24th, 1877 .

It is a large cross - could be worn as a pectoral cross or hung on the wall or above a bed.
Dimensions are 90 x 45 mm - without bail.

In spite of being over 140 years old the cross is in pristine condition - As New. In exceptional condition - Extremely rare for such age.

The Corpus is a real work of art as may be witnessed from the close up.
